About Cajun Crayfish
Cambarellus shufeldtii, commonly called the Cajun crayfish, is a small North American dwarf crayfish suited to planted aquariums with stable water and plenty of cover.
The line shows natural earthy colors rather than a bright selectively bred color form. Expect tan, brown, olive, mottled, and translucent tones that can shift with age, lighting, diet, and molt stage.
Care overlaps with other Cambarellus dwarf crayfish: clean water, prepared sinking foods, leaf litter or hides, and cautious tank mate choices.

Quick reference
Good to know
Cajun crayfish stay small, but they are still crayfish. Give them caves, plants, leaf litter, or dense cover so newly molted animals can stay protected.
They are best kept with peaceful tank mates that will not harass them, outcompete them for food, or eat juveniles.
Availability depends on colony strength. The shop page shows current packs when Cajun crayfish are listed.
