Live shipping policy
How we pack
Insulated boxes with breather bags and gel packs matched to the season, destination, and live shipping method.
U.S. carrier and transit
USPS Priority or UPS Next Day / 2 Day. We pick the live shipping method based on weather, distance, and animal safety.
Weather aware shipping
We hold shipments when temperatures put animals at risk. A short delay is better than shipping live animals into unsafe weather.
Live arrival guarantee
If any animal arrives dead, we replace or refund it.
What we need: a photo of the animal in the bag, sent within 2 hours of the delivery scan.
The guarantee does not apply if you ship against a weather hold, choose a slower method than recommended, or leave the package unattended for an extended period after delivery.
Your responsibility
Confirm that live crayfish imports are legal in your state, county, and municipality before ordering. By purchasing, you confirm receipt of live crayfish is legal where you are. dwarfcray.com is not responsible for shipments confiscated or fined due to local law.

Live shipping rules for Blue Brazos, CPO, and Cambarellus diminutus
Live crayfish are regulated differently than ordinary aquarium supplies. Before buying Blue Brazos dwarf crayfish, CPO crayfish, or Cambarellus diminutus, confirm that live crayfish can be legally shipped to your state.
Orders placed through the shop are packed for live arrival and may be held during unsafe weather. The goal is not simply to ship quickly. The goal is to use live shipping only when the animals have the best chance of arriving alive and settling in well.
After delivery, follow the dwarf crayfish care guide for acclimation, hides, feeding, and water stability.
